Diamond Women - EmpowHer Financial Coaching Program

Nominated by: Alex Thong

The EmpowHer Program supports women facing unplanned pregnancy, domestic violence, financial hardship, or long-term unemployment to rebuild confidence and begin the path to meaningful employment. Their target audience includes women aged 18–45 who experience significant barriers to work, many of whom are single parents or migrants navigating social isolation.

Through one-on-one coaching, employment readiness workshops, and financial literacy sessions, participants gain the skills, mindset, and support network needed to enter or re-enter the workforce. The impact is profound, women move from crisis to stability, achieving financial independence, improved mental wellbeing, and renewed purpose, creating ripple effects that strengthen families and communities.

Diamond Women are incredibly grateful to Alex Thong from CPR Australia Wealth Advisers who nominated them to receive a Future2 grant. 

Diamond Women was further supported by a $7,500 contribution from AIA Australia, extending the program’s impact in 2026 and increasing support for people in the community.

2MFM - Muslim Community Radio- Financial Literacy Workshop & Radio Series for CALD Youth

Nominated by: Fadi Zein

2MFM is launching an inspiring youth-led initiative, with the support of Fadi Zein from Zein Accounting, to equip young people from multicultural Muslim communities across NSW with essential financial skills for life. The project features a hands-on workshop with an inspiring 7-episode radio series, helping youth learn how to manage money wisely, make confident decisions, and plan for a secure future.

Hosted by young presenters, the 2MFM series explores budgeting, saving, tackling debt, avoiding scams, using digital banking safely, and smart financial planning. The interactive workshop brings these lessons to life, empowering participants to put knowledge into action through real experiences and guided support. By connecting culture, community, and financial education, 2MFM is breaking down barriers and helping Muslim youth build confidence, awareness, and resilience to take charge of their financial wellbeing.

Tiny Foxes - The Life Skills Academy

The Tiny Foxes is helping young Australians build financial confidence through the Life Skills Academy - a practical, engaging program for teens and school leavers. Covering essentials such as budgeting, saving, superannuation, investing, preparing to move out of home, buying a first car and navigating MyGov, the program empowers students to make informed financial choices and establish strong money habits early. This grant will provide access to more than 1,500 students, setting them on a path to lifelong financial wellbeing.

Tiny Foxes was further supported by a $2,000 contribution from Spark Financial Group, extending the program’s impact in 2026 and increasing support for people in the community.

Pluton - Empowering Regional and Rural Queensland

Pluton’s Empowering Regional and Rural Queensland program aims to deliver financial education to over 500 young adults in regional and rural communities in Queensland, with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth. The program will equip young people, aged 12–25, with practical financial skills and knowledge tailored to their own environment and situation. Recognising that every individual is different, participants are encouraged to explore their life goals and dreams throughout the program, whether that’s owning a home, starting a business, or becoming a professional athlete.

The program is more than just learning about financial concepts. Participants are encouraged to apply the financial learnings to their own personal circumstances and aspirations, developing their own personalised financial independence blueprint to help them achieve their goals.

Just Motivation – Hope Starter Finance

In 2025, many Australians are living paycheque to paycheque, with rising credit card debt and cost-of-living pressures continuing to impact financial security. The Hope Starter Finance course addresses this challenge by equipping young Australians with the knowledge, tools and mindset to make informed financial decisions and build stronger futures.

Delivered as a practical 90-minute session, the program focuses on essential skills including budgeting, saving, avoiding common financial pitfalls, understanding debt, and setting financial goals. Its applied approach ensures participants can immediately translate learning into action.

The course also encourages a broader understanding of financial wellbeing, emphasising the importance of responsible decision-making, contribution and long-term thinking. It aims to support young people to build financial confidence and a stronger foundation for their future.

Speak & Share School Program - People before Students

Speak & Share delivers preventative, evidence-informed mental health workshops that equip young people with the confidence, emotional literacy, and resilience needed to navigate life’s pressures. By normalising conversations about mental health through relatable storytelling and practical tools, the organisation helps students build stronger foundations for long-term wellbeing, participation, and future employability. 

Through this project, Speak & Share will deliver 10 free workshops to more than 700 young people across Victoria - supporting those at risk of disengagement and strengthening the emotional and social skills that underpin long-term stability and financial wellbeing.

The Mallacoota Wilderness Collective - MicroReady Program: Building Financial Wellbeing for Women 40+ in Rural and Remote Victoria

Wilderness Collective’s MicroReady program is a 90-day, community-led initiative supporting women aged 40 and over in rural and remote communities across Victoria. It is designed for those facing barriers to workforce re-entry or seeking to establish microenterprises, including challenges related to changing circumstances, disadvantage, outdated skills, and limited access to networks and resources.

The program provides access to a welcoming workspace, tailored microbusiness support, small group coaching, and practical learning opportunities. Participants build financial literacy, strengthen budgeting and cash flow management skills, reduce isolation through peer connection, and gain access to relevant professional advice.

Designed by and for women in remote communities, MicroReady takes a flexible, practical approach that builds confidence and supports the development of sustainable business and employment skills. By strengthening financial wellbeing and capability, the program helps create pathways to economic security, meaningful work, and greater participation in local economies.

Wilderness Collective was further supported by a $2,000 contribution from Sufficient Funds, extending the program’s impact in 2026 and increasing support for people in the community.

Financially Empowered- Migrant Money Matters Program

Nominated by: Dawn Thomas

Migrant Money Matters (MMM) is a scholarship-based financial literacy program for CaLD women that is specifically designed to tackle the gender gap in financial capability compounded by language, cultural norms and systemic barriers.  

The culturally responsive curriculum blends core money skills— such as cash flow and budgeting, superannuation, wealth planning, and debt navigation—with culturally relevant topics, including “Black tax” (supporting extended family), navigating religious beliefs (e.g., halal finance), and financial abuse awareness.  

MMM will run across two cohorts of 25 participants each. The first will be held face-to-face in Perth, offering on-site childcare, interpreters, and catering by a local, migrant, female-owned business. The second will be streamed online to include regional and remote participants.  

By strengthening their financial capabilities, MMM participants can build economic security and lay the foundations for intergenerational wealth, with ripple effects for their families and the broader economy.

Foyer Oxford - Anglicare WA

Foyer Oxford is a leading youth support service in Leederville, Western Australia, providing safe, stable accommodation and tailored support for young people aged 16 to 24. Part of the international Foyer movement, it combines studio-style housing with wraparound services designed to build independence and long-term capability.

Home to up to 98 young people, including dedicated apartments for young parents, the program offers 24/7 on-site support alongside life skills development, mental health and wellbeing services, mentoring, and pathways into education and employment, including vocational training through North Metropolitan TAFE. More than 75% of residents progress into employment or further study, demonstrating the program’s significant impact.

A key focus is building financial capability, with residents supported to develop practical skills in budgeting, managing income, and making informed financial decisions, strengthening their long-term financial wellbeing and independence.

The Foyer Oxford program was further supported by a $4,000 contribution from HUB24, extending the program’s impact in 2026 and increasing support for people in the community.

Zahra Foundation - Pathways to Empowerment Program

The Zahra Foundation’s Pathways to Empowerment program supports women and children impacted by domestic and family violence to rebuild their lives and achieve financial independence. Through specialist financial counselling, education, and employment pathways, the program provides practical tools, mentoring, and long-term support that foster safety, stability, and resilience. Co-designed with women with lived experience, the program empowers participants to set and achieve personal and professional goals, increasing confidence and creating sustainable change.

The $15,000 Future2 Foundation grant will enable the Zahra Foundation to expand access to this transformative program into regional South Australia, helping more women break the cycle of abuse and build brighter, independent futures for themselves and their families.

Mill House Ventures

This project will deliver two targeted financial literacy workshop programs in Canberra: one for female social enterprise founders and another for women from migrant and refugee backgrounds. The workshops focus on building practical skills in budgeting, cashflow management, business planning, and accessing ethical finance, enabling participants to manage both personal and enterprise finances with greater confidence. 

Each program blends technical knowledge with hands-on tools, case studies, and mentoring to ensure learning is practical, relevant, and immediately applicable. Both groups face well-documented barriers to financial inclusion and business sustainability, including limited access to tailored education, culturally appropriate resources, and professional networks. By addressing these barriers, the program supports women to strengthen their financial capability, enhance income security, and increase long-term economic participation.
